Backups
Backed up before you need it.
Database and media of every website as one archive – while running, with automatic rotation. The network overview warns when a backup is missing.
Set up
Daily, automatically.

Nightly backup
Afterwards the newest 14 per website, pool and table remain (--keep=N, 0 = keep all).

Back up in addition
Not in the archives: config/config.local.php (keys, network_key), config/sites/, storage/support/ and storage/ai/config.json. A Plesk backup of the subscription covers everything.

Keep copies off-site
Copy the archives regularly to another server or storage – a backup on the same server does not protect against its failure.

Right away when needed
“Back up now” starts a backup as a separate process (at most three per ten minutes) – for example before larger changes.
Restore
Restore a backup.
Overwrites content, media and accounts of the website – the configuration stays.

The search index is derived and does not need to be backed up.
