Demo · core block “Partners & logos”

Logos that look the same size.

Very wide wordmark, square badge, portrait format, round emblem or cut-out shape: the block balances the area instead of the width. Click a logo – a short note and link appear below. All logos except the KLXM mark are fictional examples.

Eight formats

Example logos in eight formats

Apart from the KLXM mark, all companies, logos and texts are made up – designed for this demo, any resemblance is coincidental. Each note describes the challenge of the format.

  • Rheinkiesel Architekten
  • Nordlicht Bäckerei
  • Kornblume Buchhandlung
  • Moorbirke Stiftung
  • Deichwerk
  • Grüne Welle Radverleih
  • Lumen Optik
  • KLXM Crossmedia

Rheinkiesel Architekten

Fictional example

Fictional architects. A very wide wordmark (about 13 : 1) – at equal height it would be huge; at equal area it becomes narrow and stays legible.

Nordlicht Bäckerei

Fictional example

Fictional bakery. A square badge with a solid dark background – looks heavier than a cut-out mark and is therefore set to “slightly smaller”.

Kornblume Buchhandlung

Fictional example

Fictional bookshop. Portrait format (about 4 : 7) – at the same width as the others it would be far too tall; the block keeps it within the tile.

Moorbirke Stiftung

Fictional example

Fictional foundation. A round emblem in a square file – the corners are transparent, so the circle looks lighter than the badge.

Deichwerk

Fictional example

Fictional engineering office. A single-colour logo in dark blue – marked as “monochrome”, it appears white in dark mode and on dark backgrounds (see below).

Grüne Welle Radverleih

Fictional example

Fictional bike rental. An irregular cut-out shape on a transparent background – as SVG pin sharp and only a few kilobytes.

Lumen Optik

Fictional example

Fictional optician. Landscape format with a symbol and serif type – the typical case that ends up too big without balancing.

KLXM Crossmedia

Agency behind KLXM Studio

The only real logo here: the mark of the agency behind KLXM Studio. Single-colour and round – marked as “monochrome”, it appears white on a dark background.

On a dark background

Monochrome logos turn white

The same block in a dark section, details in a dialog instead of expanded. Here too, all logos except KLXM are made up.

  • KLXM Crossmedia
  • Deichwerk
  • Nachtfalter Kulturverein
  • Grüne Welle Radverleih

KLXM Crossmedia

Agency behind KLXM Studio

Marked as “monochrome” – white in the dark section.

Deichwerk

Fictional example

Fictional example, dark blue and marked as “monochrome” – white in the dark section.

Nachtfalter Kulturverein

Fictional example

Fictional arts society. An already white logo on a transparent background – not marked as “monochrome”, it stays white on the dark section.

Grüne Welle Radverleih

Fictional example

Fictional example. Multi-coloured, not marked – stays in colour.

How it works

Same size, no rework.

  • Area instead of width

On upload, KLXM Studio measures the visible content (without transparent margin). Wide wordmarks are shown narrower, compact marks larger – fine-tune with “slightly smaller/larger” if needed.

  • Details on click

Note and link appear expanded or in a dialog – without JavaScript all details are listed below the logos.

  • Also from a data table

Instead of maintaining them in the block, logos can come from a table – with filter, sorting and categories.

  • Light and dark

Tiles adapt to the colour scheme; monochrome logos are inverted on dark backgrounds, coloured ones stay coloured.
